I have the honour to transmit to Y.L. a copy of a Note in which, in execution of the instructions contained in Y.L.'s despatch No. 725 of the 14th inst., I have expressed to the Duc Decazes the hope that the necessity of referring again to Anname before the Commercial Treaty between that Country and France be ratified will be taken advantage of in order to effect a revision of those articles to which H.M.'s Govt. have taken exception.
